Procession developed a learning guide focused on the history of the Los Angeles River from an Indigenous perspective for elementary school youth. Workshops led by Meztli Projects—an Indigenous-based arts & culture collaborative centering Indigeneity into the creative practice of LA—are occurring in a minimum of three elementary schools situated along the river’s previous courses. Additionally, this repeatable learning framework and guide will be shared with Los Angeles State Historic Park rangers to be taught to the public indefinitely.
